19-200 Installation Instructions

Horizontal type engine guard installation instructions, for engine guards with a 25 mm bar that runs horizontally under the cylinder head, such as Hepco Becker or Ztechnik.

Place motorcycle on its center stand on level ground.
Using 4 ea. of the 10-32 Allen screws and the 5/32” Allen wrench lightly clamp the highway pegs to the horizontal portion of the engine guard below the cylinder head so that they are horizontal when extended and adjusted forward and aft until your feet are in the most comfortable position. Check that the pegs fold under the cylinder head without interference.
When you have adjusted everything to your satisfaction, using the 1/8” Allen wrench lightly snug the ¼-20 set screw in the inside part of the clamp, then back off the 2 bottom 10-32 Allen head screws until you can tighten the ¼ -20 set screw an additional ¼ turn. Now retighten the bottom 10-32 Allen head screws, causing the ¼ -20 set screw to bite into the bar and prevent the highway pegs from rotating downward when your feet are placed on them.
After riding the first 50-100 miles, re-check all the mounting screws and set screws for tightness.

HIGHWAY PEGS for the R1250 GS Adventure

Ilium Works is proud to announce the 29-200 HIGHWAY PEGS for the R1250 GS Adventure.

The factory engine guard bar configuration has presented quite a challenge when it comes to properly mounting a comfortable highway peg. Our new part number 29-200 Highway Pegs address this problem with a unique mounting system. A gracefully curved 1/4" X 1” stainless steel bar connects the upper and lower bars of the factory engine guard and provides a sturdy foundation to mount the highway pegs in the proper location.
